I need to find a instruction manual for a GE ES-3 Watt hour meter. I had a thread on this earlier and got a connection diagram but I really need to know what the accuracy rating of the meter is.
1- overhead
2- 795 mcm ACSR and vertical configuration with all 3 phases on one side of a pole. It is a 46 kV circuit with a second circuit on the other side of the pole.
3- static line on top of pole
4- no info on soil resistivity
The situation is that I am replacing existing KD-10 relays with SEL-311A relays and the customer has no line data. Getting the reach off of these relays is not really an issue, but according to the KD-10 manual the reach setting (if desired) can be affected by the impedance angle. I have...
I was wondering if anyone can give me a formula or somewhere I can find it to get positive and zero sequence line impedances and angles for a transmission line. Thanks
Thanks for the link. Do you know if this is an electronic meter with a KYZ output or is it an analog meter with a rotating disc? According to the wiring diagrams, the ES-4 has KYZ outputs, but not the ES-5.
It is not only corrosive, but it creates a steel wool type substance on any silver plated surface. We had some 480V breakers in a paper mill that would blow up a breaker weekly because the silver plating would peel off in a steel wool type form and short phase to phase. The only solution to...
It would seem to me that when you have a fault that will bring your voltage and frequencies down the bus and line would both see it, but I would tend to agree with stevenal in that you should look to the line PT's when you are going to restore the system.
I have a garbage burning generator that is having load fluctations. The plant has 3 generators, (2) 13.5MW units, and this 25MW unit. The twin 13.5MW units are stable, but the 25MW unit is constantly moving about 1 MW every minute. The 25MW unit swings even if the two 13.5MW units are...
Thanks for your help everyone, I have a few more notes concerning this problem. The plant has 3 generators, (2) 13.5MW units, and this 25MW unit (I dropped the 2 and accidentally put 5MW earlier). The twin 13.5MW units are stable, but the 25MW unit is constantly moving about 1 MW every minute...
