Dear All,
up to now the simple picture I had about power supply was:
60 Hz /115 V is used in the USA for instance
50 Hz / 230 V is used in Europe for instance
and 400 Hz / 115 V is used in aircrafts for various reasons which are already discussed in this forum.
Now recently I learned about...
I have to estimate the cost (mainly man hours) of a project which is nearly nearly completed but has many many small problems.
The expectation I feel is that I present a WBS with work packages and associated costs.
But I think that it is not the right way to do, because it suggests that with...
Cheers Jack, I've looked at Visio website - *very* interesting (price in UK Pounds??). Interface doesnt look very slick though (as AcadMDT or Inventor etc), but it's geared up for tooling design though. If its big bux, then its out of the question - they expect us to do work like on a top end...
Also!...........whats the deal with the RedSpark standard parts?????. Do they come 'in-built' into the cad station upon install?? somebody once said you need to get them off the internet........this cant be right can it??. I would hope they come with the package pre installed!, not every...
Hi, we have just embarked on the long process of choosing a new CAD system.
Basicly, without going into everything, I was wondering if it is true that Inventor will come with a *full* set of surfacing tools on the next release (as we were told...)?. We need a hybrid CAD system really...also a...
Thanks guys. It just so happened that there was a demostration on locally and they contacted the firm today, and surprise suprise we actually got to spend half an hour looking at it (there is a bit of a lack of enthusiasm at work on this type of thing). Bit of a coincidence innit??!!
Anyway...
Hello there!, I have just spent ages looking around the net to clear up something about Inventor Series and still have not found the info I am looking for!!! Perhaps someone can clarify it for me............
Right, as far as I am led to believe, you can get Autodesk Inventor 'Series' 5.3 which...
Hi there, I picked this tip up somewhere else and havent 'fully' tried it out but I reckon it is worth a try!!!!.
I used to have all sorts of hassle trying to get a decent image out of Acad, but I tried this tip the other day and its just so easy!! :
Get your screen display as you would like...
Right, thanks for your offer of help so far, but I need to be doing this this week sometime. Dont worry about it - It will all work out in the end somehow. I will just persevere and hope it doesnt take too long.....
If I manage to suss out how to get the pic on here then I may do it later, just...
I wonder if anyone can help me out with something I am trying to draw......Its hard to explain, but Ill give it a go.
Imagine a smallish pressing done on a press tool, it consists of three main faces - two of which are at compound angles. The three faces are blended together with two radii. So...
Yeah, I see where youre coming from. We use three/four decimal places for 'tieing up' accurate stuff, and I admit that I tie stuff up to three places and put 'g' on the surface to indicate grinding sometimes.
This is 'understood' that the plate has to be accurate and to get three decimal...
God. Autocad IS the master. Thanks very much for passing on the Align command variable to me!!. Fantastic. It has saved me hours and its so easy :).
Im sure it will be one to be engrained in the memory for future use!!!.
Thanks very much.
Sirius.
Cheers Adrian. I think youre right. I suppose I just struggle having only been in engineering for about 5 years and in toolmaking for about 3 (Shop Floor - Drawing Office). I guess my head is just made for general engineering.
It often seems madness though, theres some real 'pearlers' crop up...
Cheers, I will check out the link. At the moment at work we use a dos based (windows platform) 2d/3d cad wireframe surface CAD/CAM package. It has no solid functionality, even for inserting files, and is not associative or parametric in any way. You cant even generate 2d views from the 3d.
I...
