I actually drive Dual Clutch VW R32 with a turbocharged VR6, 3.2L motor. Stock car is 250HP, I have it boosted 14PSI to 400hp. It been tested and proved to be good to 550hp, at which point OEM clutch will slip.

1. It can be done and already been done. OEM's do not like it as it's costly. Power-train developers had those systems drawn out and tested decade ago, mainly for racing applications and high power staff like tracks / generators...
