The anchor points on the text box are only pickable when a frame is applied to it (in Standard Behaviour).
As a work-around I could:
- duplicate the text
- apply a frame to original
- position the Leader in the mid left/right location
- superimpose the copied text over original and create a...

I'd like to know if it's possible to change the location of the leader line at the text box. Currently, it snaps to either top left or top right corner of the text box.
Here is what I do:
- I have my drawing standard set to ANSI.
- I insert Text with multiple lines in it (say 3 or so)...

one option you could use is Set Relative Position.
Right-click on the view (in the tree), select View Positioning/Set Relative Position.

If I understand your question correctly...
Do your mesh in Advanced Meshing Tools workbench.
When defining Advanced Mesh, you get an option to Merge During Simplification, and Min Size. Set your min size to a number larger than 10mm.
Create a new axis system at the new reference in the part.
In the darwing, when creating a view, before you select the reference face, pick the new axis system.
I don't believe this card is certified (correct me if I'm wrong). This is an "entry-level" video card, I would probably look at at least the 1000-series FX cards. We are running the FX 1300 with no issues (certified).

It may be a little tricky if your part is a "good" part with features. If it's a "dumb" solid you could simply move it with a compass to specific location or an axis system.
If memory was an issue, try to minimize the use of Virtual Memory on the cnext.exe process (VM Size).
Can you open the assembly in Cache mode, and load only the models that are needed in design mode?
