    It is possible with a hammer bit. Atlas Copco has been working on a directional hammer. Allis Chalmers did a lot of research on this. Javins made one of the first DDH's, capable of 15 deg/100'. linkedin.com/shawnpeter

    it is possible with peck drilling, but i'd look into edm sinker's getting it done. your best bet of trying to drill it and avoid having 10 scrap parts is to buy 10 scrap drills and use high speed, low-low-low feed.

    not an ANSI standard, but either way: -under drawing resources, expand the "borders" folder, right click and define a new zone border -pick how many numbers/letters, etc -edit them for each sheet. it's not a standard because it's not a standard.

    I'm scrambling to search for any notes, but I do know we have nitrided 8620 on tool joints with success. As far as getting rid of the black finish, wheelabrating the parts afterward (trial & error on which mesh to use) will clean them up nicely.

    if it's purely aesthetics just go to Autozone and buy some of that Dupont anodizing paint in a spray can. You can anodize your self, and there are plenty of websites that sell the chemicals, tanks, power supplies, etc.

    Yeah I never have had a problem with PDF's. Check iTunesU (university) for a lot of engineering lectures. Also search for podcasts about engineering in iTunes.
