Unfortunately I don't have time for my VAR to see it before i need to have it completed.
My Delete face tool crashes SW about 1/4 the time I use it, which is frequently. I always save before using it. I have 2009 SP1 because my company doesn't want to pay for the service contract.
I wasn't...
Hi all,
I was changing some surfaces on a part in an existing assembly today and had crashed SW with the delete face tool (as usual). After I restarted SW and tried to open the assembly SW crashed again. The part I was working on opens fine and has no errors. Both files were saved shortly...
Yes it is. The original file is so complex due to the surfacing that it would be a huge file. So to store them we save them as para-solids. I modified one of these files to get the solid part I have now. The surfaces I am losing are from the original imported file.
Do you think that is causing it?
I am trying to add .70" to the center of a most axial part. I tried to cut of the back saved it, cut off the front saved it and put both parts into an assembly with a gap of .70". I saved it as a .sldpart intending to add an extrude and combine the body into the final extended part.
However...
I have a somewhat complex assembly with nesting cylindrical parts. It is a pneumatic system with o-rings separating the active chambers. I want measure the volume of two assembly variations to compare them.
I've seen some suggestions of making a solid in place of the volume but in this case...
No, we're a smallish company so I'm a general SolidWorks guy. He may be running SW 2010.
My only guess is that he thinks they will transfer better. He is in working out of Taiwan these days.
I'm trying to get an assembly with an exploded view in order to generate some renderings for our website. The files are being sent to me as parasolids.
Do parasolid files save exploded views when exported?
I don't know why he insists on using parasolids either. If any one has some insight on...
As soon as I post it I find it. (Tools, Options, Sketch, Show Curvature Comb Bounding Curve) Tried this once and it didn't update. It did this time. oops
I am building a spline on top of a drawing one of the designers drew up. I am using the show curvature option to use the curvature comb to relax my spline.
The background of the image is white and my comb is yellow. I really need to see it but I can't find the right option to change it. Anyone...
