I figured it out! Join is an awesome assembly tool. If any one is trying to add a section to a part use Join. Works perfectly. Thanks!

Yes it is. The original file is so complex due to the surfacing that it would be a huge file. So to store them we save them as para-solids. I modified one of these files to get the solid part I have now. The surfaces I am losing are from the original imported file. Do you think that is causing it?

I am trying to add .70" to the center of a most axial part. I tried to cut of the back saved it, cut off the front saved it and put both parts into an assembly with a gap of .70". I saved it as a .sldpart intending to add an extrude and combine the body into the final extended part. However...

I tired that on your advice. The Keyshot software doesn't seem to support these file types (according to co-worker). Good suggestion though.
