Assuming you have mis-typed looked at the help documentation for contextual design and found nothing which explains how to produce link types context and import.
Am i missing something basic here??

Looking through the online documentation for link types, i.e. PASTE-SPECIAL then EDIT-LINKS there is various types which can be viewed.
What produces each type, i.e. CCP, import & context.
CCP is ok copy a PartBody and PASTE-SPECIAL as link.

OK lets think of a scenario, we have two installations on the workstation, R16SP8 and R17SP3.
For R16SP8 env name: "OEM1" & "MyEnv"
For R17SP3 env name: "OEM2".
For OEM2 the above scenario, editing the CATIA.CATNls file is OK.
But for the two environments "OEM1" and "MyEnv1"...

Seeing your post - I would like to investigate the top text line further by adding an environment name.
Is this possible?
Most OEMs have individual Release, ServicePack and HotFix levels, but what if you have more than one environment for the same code level . ..
Just a thought.

Run CATDUAV5 utility after import (you can find it in C:\Program Files\Dassault Systemes\B16\intel_a\code\bin\CATDUAV5.exe Maybe this will fix your problem.

Get an error message when attempting to save a CATIA V5 file post STEP import. Error message "SAVE OPERATION FAILED PROBLEM WHILE WRITING FILE".
Version 5 Release 16 SP4
Win XP SP2 Professional
Liscense avaiable : ST1 + others. [only step license shown]
Import STEP file [134MB size] ok...
Using the default browser - netscape.
CATIA version is 5 release 16.
Don't tell me you think it is down to the browser being used . . . ! ? !?
Can access the documentation the manual process - file manager -> /usr/DassaultSystemes/B16doc/ . . .
Even created a link on workspace!!

Currently using CATIA V5 R16 on solaris 8. Can locate help file through file manager.
Unable to call help from within CATIA V5. Help -> CATIA V5 Help.
Checked CATDocView variable. It is set to "/usr/DassaultSystemes/B16doc" and language is set to "English".
Select the help option...
