In Catia v5 r17 how do i add a title block to my drawing?
Can i import one from say a dxf or dwg and save it as a catdrw
then use that as my title block? if so how
the more i search it seems like i may have to use Visual Basic
to make my border, is this true?

ok im trying to find a way to stream line our office
right now we have 4 stations
1 ibm unix box running catia v4 and v5
2 hp unix box's one running ideas and the other ugnx3
1 windows seat running pro-e and autocad
here is my question, we have metaphase for ford
and i know there are windows...

ok i tried /m comment and it works but then it says something about not having a printer selected in my netscape palete.
so i did tried the other one where i go to information
and i clicked the 3 dots and i see the info
i did a ctrl + c for copy
opened text editor and tried to paste but it wont...
i have never had to print comment pages before
how do i go about printing them or finding them in my model

so your telling me you build sheets with using thru mesh curve and using curves that arnt connected? seems a bit inaccurate.

im on a hp which i like only because it runs faster then a windows box, meaning i dont have all the other crap on my hp box.i think the big reason gm went away from unix was cost. the difference between leasing a unix station and a winblows station are substantial.

yeah i did change the load options and specified the directory, but it still does it. weird. wheelguy are you on a unix box?

question one- why is it when i open a drawing i have to click the assembly navigator and reload the part because the box is unchecked.meaning the part isnt fully showing up y does it do this?
question 2- i need to break a dimension line there is an arrow head running over it and i need to break...

i walked him thru the steps to create a part using the toolkit. i didnt crunch it down like u did.

say you have 4 lines/curves connected you can use thu mesh curve or thru curves to make a sheet
when you have multiple sheets and want to join them together
go to insert/feature operation/sew
thru mesh curve and thru curve is found in
insert/free form feature

just iges or step the file out of catia and bring it into ug
step works the best in my experiance
