    Given the huge difference between thier engines power density and the comparison engines on thier site one can only assume that the comparison engines are infact 4-stroke engines. I bet an ordinary direct injected 2-stroke engine with the same displacement as the OPEC engine would perform...

    Patprimer Untill a couple of days ago I hadn't even heard of Orbital. Please dont dismiss what I'm saying on the sole grounds that it sounds like a sales pitch.

    Modern direct injected 2-stroke scooters have lower emissions than thier 4-stroke equal displacement catalytic converter toting compatriots and weigh less, further widening the efficiency gap.

    Why build a 4-stroke over a two stroke? Assuming both engines utilise direct injection a 2-stroke is fundamentally better is it not?
