Due to the miscalculation of cutoff level, now I’m facing the 60 cm length shortage of pile rebars in to pile cap. How can I extend the rebars? By welding or splicing? What is minimum welding length required for 20mm dia torsteel in this condition?
Thanks

I'm working as a civil engineer in Middle east (U A E). here the day temperature is around 44 to 50 o C. What is the most pratical curing I can adopt at this temperature and days of curing for mass concrete, pile caps, Column and slabs. BS 8110 gives some values for curing days but it is limited...
BS 5328 'concrete' replaced with BS EN 206-1 and BS 8500
In new code slump is reported to the nearest 10mm - in BS 5328 it was 5mm.
More confusing is in BS EN 206-1 the the slump is defined by class; as S2,S3,S4 and consistence is workability in BS 5328.
What about S1 class?.
How we specify the...

Solid Raft, Pile Caps and mass concrete -- 100 cum
All other type or parts --- 25 cum
From each sample of concrete taken 2...
