metalwillow,
Make sure you don't have any virus detection software running. Several of them cause the Catia install to crash around 51% or so.

Make sure you have a point on the valve that represents the contact point between the two parts.
Then have a curve that represents the path that the point follows as the camshaft rotates.
Should you then be able to create a point on curve joint between the two an get the mechanism to work.

You cannot move the XY, YZ, ZX planes. You can either translate your entire geometry from one point to another.
Another option is to create a new axis system where you want it and then set it as current.
Thanks for the reply Jackk!
Would there be a more automated way for placing multiple dimensions of that type, though?
I tried modifying the .txt files in the standard folder, but I've had no luck.
Custom thread standards show up with a "Ref." designation when they are dimensioned in drafting mode. The result being "Ref. .38"
I can replace the "Ref." with another label; however, a customer would like the following format:
"THD. .38-24UNF."
Any help on how to do this would be appreciated.
Hey Everyone,
Can someone tell me if the is a way to change the reference that the Coordinate Dimension Tool in the drafting workbench uses?
I know that the Coordinate Dimension Table allows you to do this, but I cant seem to find a way to change this in the Coordinate Dimension Tool.
Thanks...
You can use the scenes function in the assembly workbench to hide the desired components without changing the assembly. Then create your front view from the scene.

There is a bug in R16 with the "plus or minus" tolerance symbol not showing up right when you do a "Save As" to PDF.
Its covered by APAR HD48399 and should be fixed in R16SP3.
But not sure about the other errors.

Ryan,
Take a look at the following thread:
thread560-146567
It explains what you need to setup in windows to solve the problem.
Or do search for "wide screen" and you should find it.
