Hi Khimani,
I have managed to find a few ways of doing this.
The first is to create your sheetmetal part, then add a sketch to define the required crease/s. This sketch can then be added to the model reference set, so it shows up in a parent assembly, and then also added as additional curves to...
Hi all,
Wondering if it were at all possible to crease/cross-break a sheetmetal part, as per attached image, in NX9?
I can create a flat plate and draw a line/s. Using the bend command allows me to bend one side only. Attempting to bend the second line results in the plate being split, as...
Hi all, I am trying to create an indented Parts List on a drawing, to show components of sub-assemblies. I am having no luck playing with the LEVELS. Does anyone know of a way I can achieve this?

Just wondering if I am missing something with the manipulation of text notes that are added to weld symbols?
When I go to add a note to a weld symbol (with leader on the LHS, text as standard is left justified) that uses more than one line, I have to manually add spaces to the start of each...
Hi Hudson, thanks for that, that was exactly what I was after, but not quite the result I was after. It does point to the callout inside the part, however, I found that the callout attribute inside the part is a TeamCenter callout, which had a value of 320, but the actual corresponding row in...
Hi all, I am just wondering how people out there handle quantities of deformable parts/raw materials in a parts list.
We have part families set up for a lot of our steel sections where we can use various lengths of these sections in an assembly simply by adding a deformed length. The problem...
Hi Jerry, thanks for the reply. I'm not sure if i explained myself correctly to start with. I am not looking at putting an ID symbol to an existing body in an assembly.
We have certain parts which have nothing inside them (non-geometric parts), added to the assembly model so that they appear in...
Is there a way you can add an associative item balloon in a drawing to a non-geomtric part that has been added to an assembly? I have a few items in my assembly, like oil, counterweights, etc that are non-geometric parts, which I still need to item balloon to show where they go.

Hudson, the ability to individually publish a parts list from each subassembly drawing is pretty much all we are after at this stage. We are currently doing that now when we create a drawing with a parts list, but just thought it might be nicer to have a macro/journal file that helped us do it...
Hudson, we did try exporting straight from the Assembly Navigator, however we found that the assy navigator shows things in a less-than desirable way.
For instance, if we choose to "Pack all" parts with multiple instances to show just one instance of it in the assembly navigator, the part...
We are trying to automate the export process of our parts lists, and would like the ability to pre-set some of the options available.
Each time we export a parts list we need to do 4 things:
*set the output location => FILE
*set the format => Commas between columns
*set the filename =>...
Hudson, PDF wasn't a standard dataset type, hence the invalid datasettype error message we were getting. With a bit of help from PLMA we were able to get these datasets added.

I am wondering if anyone can help me to be able to add a DXF & PDF dataset to an item in TeamCenter? When we create a plate drawing, we generally send our supplier a PDF copy of the drawing and also a DXF file for laser-cutting. We would like the ability to be able to lock these two files down...
Thanks John, I didn't look there. I had only looked at the symbols available when the text command is active. Many thanks

Hi gents,
I am wondering if anyone out there has a centreline symbol they have created for use with NX? It seems odd that such a basic, common symbol is not included.
