    A single engine cannot produce more torque than a dual engine. However depending on the temperature and altitude the helicopter may be power limited which would occure at high altitudes and high temperature.     Yes This is done regularly in the helicopter industry. Since I'm not a gear designer I dont know what gear moduleus is. But I am currently strain gauding some 8 pitch gears in the tooth root with very tiny gages. JR

    "Small" torque converter

    I cant tell you the specifications on the bike, but I know that Honda made a 4 cycle 400 CC motorcycle with an automatic transmission about 20 years ago. In that time fram I would estimate that engine to be about 20 HP. I dont know if it was a lock up converter.
