Has SW lowered Subscription Rates Yet

With the failing economy, has SW revisited their high subscription rates yet?

Speed up rebuilds with alot of suppresed features

I have a model that has about 50 features that are suppressed and I am adding new geometry that is not suppressed. When I rebuild it takes a long time to finish rebuilding. Is their a way to speed this up? I am using SW2008 sp0

    Late renewal fee

I have issues with the benefit of version after version. The fact is that SW is a pretty mature product at this time. All they are adding here and there are tweaks. The fact is if it wasnt for customers using a later, version most of us would be happy with the version we already have. The...

    Late renewal fee

It seems that Solidworks is becoming more like Autodesk every day and that is not a good thing.

    Late renewal fee

This is just a trend in how SW is starting to treat the user base. I hate the new licensing process and it is a real pain in the azz transferring and problems that happen when you do it. On top of that, what happens in a couple years and they quit supporting license transfers if you are not on...

Anybody used Bickham Script MM in solidworks?

I had a client who of course would require a text font that SW nor my Cam program have it is Bickham Script MM style. How can we get more font styles for SW2008? Thanks

new pc cost, is this too much?

I think the idea of buying the best out there at the time is not always a wise decision. You can save thousands by buying what was the best 6 months ago and still have excellent SW performance. The fact is that you pay a large premium for the brand new tech and they do not always have the bugs...

SW New Copy Protection Is a Big Problem Beware for 2008

JMirisola, That is not always the case, I remember back last year on SW2007 their was an issue with changes to an SP that would not allow a previous SP open them. I am not trying to instigate an issue with you , just pointing out that it did happen one time during SW2007 numerous SP's.

SW New Copy Protection Is a Big Problem Beware for 2008

sldwkmin, How about in the case that started all this. I paid for up to SP1.1 for 2008 and now, it will not let me install it because I am no longer on subscription. This is both unethical but illegal in my opinion. I would hate to be someone who later on is on SW2008 SP?.? and no longer does...

SW New Copy Protection Is a Big Problem Beware for 2008

That still doesnt answer why they cannot know when the SP came out and when you stopped your subscription service and allow you access to that sp. It sounds like SW being lazy and taking the easy way out! I mean they go to all the trouble of checking over the internet your license from time to...

SW New Copy Protection Is a Big Problem Beware for 2008

SW recently changed something with their copy protection. Now even if you have saved the past updates for SW2008. If you are no longer on subscription they will not install. It states you must be on active subscription service to install service packs. What a load of BS. I had a active...
