Make sure the "printer support" path is pointing to the directory which will hold all your pen settings.
This would be under the "options" box.

The toolbar "allows" you to ***Set to the Current*** DIM STYLE by just pulling down the styles availble in the DWG file you are...
I believe the MicroStation equivalent to scripts would be either "key-ins" applied to the function keys, which would be called a "macro" (At least many have used that term in my experience).

Yeah I heard that V8 has this capability.
But I'm in "J" with "Intergraph's Project Architect" and I'm able to do the "fence persistance" as they call it.
*
So my logic dictates that some variables must be added or turned on to enable it in MicroStation J.

Someone recently gave me this LISP.
MicroStation users always ask me if we can do this in ACAD.
I finally got someone to give the LISP.
Here it is ....

I have both versions at work.
I never knew you could do that in 14. The "shift" key acts like the remove command for selection.
I've tried to duplicate the same process in AutoCAD 2000i and you're right! They seemed to remove that feature of the "shift" key.
But still a...
Volute????
To me a "volute" would be the spiral part of a greek column at it's top piece (the caital). But you might mean a coil of some sort for mechanical.
IN EITHER CASE, use the arc command.

The spline would be fine BUT in AutoCAD 13, the spline element would always corrupt a...
Did you type in the command?
I believe it's "rectang".
If that doesn't work. Then it sounds like the lisp might be corrupt or missing. Copy it from someone else's machine and overwrite it on your machine OR re-install AutoCAD 2002.
Hope that helps

I know this is an old thread but here it goes anyway.
I recall reading somewhere that arcs and circles in MicorStation won't translate well to AutoCAD. So I would guess that your shape has some form of curve or spline and that's what missing? I'm guessing?
Otherwise, I wouldn't see why 3D MAX...
Dude,
I know this is an old thread ... but
In AutoCAd ... Have you tried to "BURST" everything 3 times?
"PURGE" the file 3 times too before exiting.
This should drop everything in AutoCAD and make it an easier import for you.
Hope this helps anyone out there...
