the beam length is 9'3". it is a W24x68. this beam is supporting hollow core plank. the columns are hss8x8x3/8x12'-8". my calcs show, this beam section at this length should have 11.91 bolts per end. again, i think i know more than i may. the details show shear tabs on the columns with 6 bolts...
i'm an erector with just enough smarts to know that a W24x68x9'3 long requires more than 6 - 3/4 bolts each end. but i need to know my formula is correct. went to school to be a P.E but quit to play pro baseball. yes i'm stupid. can anyone help me?
