    adding derivative constraints in fmincon

    I have a constrains like |dx/dt|<=0.1 in the linear optimization, so in the file confum.m, I use the code: c(1) = abs(gradient(x)) - 0.1; however, it did work. So, I want to know what is wrong with this statement. thanks!
