    Increasing Comfort

Greg Locock, that leads us to my first question: how far can I go without compromising safety too much... By the way: is there a simple way to convert recommended tire pressure when changing tire profile...can I simple use P = A/F?

Sorry, Renault recommended pressure for 185/55 R16 - In Highroads 2.5bar - Front, 2.0bar - Rear; Outside Highroads 2.4bar - Front, 2.0bar - Rear. I'm using, with 175/65 R15, 2.4 bar - Front; 1.9 bar - Rear; I never thought this could involve so much "black art"... Thank you, John

O.K., Thanks, I must confess I never thought tuning suspension could be so difficult... I tuned all my previous cars, but mostly engine and electronics, never suspension...but I'm not ready to give up so easily. But for now let's talk about tire pressure...I don't have a recommended pressure...

    Increasing Comfort

Greg Locock, I'm thinking in a shock retune or in buying a frequency selective damping shock absorver. However, I thought it should be wise to change both, shocks and springs. That is in changing spings and tune shocks. patprimmer, low amplitude high frequency intermittent is a good way to...

NormPeterson, you wrote: "Why wouldn't you have gone to a 185/65-15" That would change tire diameter and I can't legally do it... Besides this is the second set of wheels/tires and I don't think I can solve this only changing tires.

Sorry, GregLocock, I missed that one... What I feel is vertical movements, on good roads, where there isn't any visible irregularity... They are random, and happened with the old wheels and tires too, so I don't believe it is a malfunction, I think it's a hard suspension design problem...

    Increasing Comfort

Thank you for your answers... As same of you may know I'm a member of an LPG association, so I confess I was more focused on the engine, because I wanted to test how the new downsized and turbocharged European engines behave on LPG. patprimmer, the idea of decreasing wheels diameter and...

    Increasing Comfort

I bought a Renault GrandModus without doing a test drive and I’m very unpleased with its comfort in good roads. I'm talking about feeling all the small bumps and holes, which could be very annoying in Highway driving. I already changed my wheels from 16” to 15”, and my tires from 185/55 R16...

Exhaust emissions: LPG vs Unleaded fuel

Tipically in a dual-fuel Euro3 engine converted with sequential gaseous injection you get about 68% less NOx, 26% more CO, 19% less HC and 11% less CO2, with a mix of 50% propane and 50% butane, compared with gasoline. With 95% propane you should get more CO, less NOx and less CO2.

    propane evaporator/intercooler

marcdeluca you should use LPI...by a correct placement of the injectors you could lower HC emissions...

    running on diesel and lpg

A Diesel engine is not designed to have fuel far from the injector (in combustion chamber walls). This fuel will not be burned. Usually the incoming air is used to wash out burned gases. If this incoming air is pre-mixed with fuel it will, once again, increase HC. You are getting fewer...

    propane/nitrous mix

It's impossible for hydrogen atoms in hydrocarbons to establish hydrogen bonds. Also nitrous oxide is almost apolar. In fact it is this that makes possible its solubility in CO2. I don't understand what is the advantage of using this kind of mixtures on automotive fuels.

    running on diesel and lpg

marcdeluca, I suppose you are getting very high HC values...

    propane evaporator/intercooler

It's not throttle body but ice is still a problem, solved by pointing the jet to the inlet valve...biggest problem is maintenance of the pump...you need to empty the tank each 100000Km.
