In modern digital relays, when the relay is used for metering, many protection, data/event logging and many other functions, the C.T used is for the protection C.T.
Just to illustrate an example,
we are using GE Multilin relay SR489, which has multifunctions like,

- IF RTD AI module for the westinghouse ovation DCS is not available?
- If it is a thermocouple, a transmitter for 4~20mA & AI module could be added. Isn't ther AI modules available for this DCS?

I agree with both of the above comments. But in spite of the intelligent controllers, and presently we are using advanced load controllers of digitised versions, and from my commissioning experience, please try the following:

Do you know about CONCEPT software for modicon PLC programming?
It complys with IEC1131-3, with soft testing features. Incidently I built the logics, soft tested them using the simulator, before even down loading them to PLC.
