    Delaying a distribution panel load

Hi, I need some advice. I am an electrical engineer in charge of a telecom facility electric distribution system. We have a generator that cannot manage the start up load of the facility. It was suggested that a time delay be used to bring the load online 3 minutes after the generator has...

    Joining Power cables

Hi, recently relocated a 415V distributional panel. As a consequence that panel is fed from by a sub feeder carrying about 200 A and it goes through an appropriately sized circuit breaker. I am thinking that that breaker is one too many potential failure points. What do you think? and what is...

    Automatic transfer switch

Thanks for your responses. I do not want a parallel system as Catsereng realized. Just for record I did not purchase or spec the gensets others did and I am trying to get the setup to work. Thanks for your responses. CATSERENG, I am going to do some research into the ideas that you have given me.

Fuse or circuit breaker for transformer prot

Is it possible that even after adhering to to NEC 450.3(b) rule the primary breaker could still trip from inrush current? Also how can I be sure that the circuit breaker selected can handle the inruch current?
