manipulating the model using different views

Again, the GTSTRUDL CASE Center technical support team can show you several ways in which such graphic manipulation can be performed. It is, in fact, very easy. I do that frequently.

    2D versus 3D elements

The answer invloves more than can be reasonably discussed in this reply. Contact the GTSTRUDL CASE Center support. They have experts that can provide a complete response to your questions.

    TORSIONAL FREQUENCIES-ROTACIONAL MASS-MODE SHAPE

Solution: Use a program with fewer errors, and more rigorous formulations to structural mechanics problems.

    Inclined support bug

Yes, STAAD is very buggie, then why ......................................... ?

    P-delta and Pushover??

    1. Be very careful, "P-Delta" analysis usually refers to ONLY one part of the correct nonlinear analysis of structures (i.e., the influence of a structure's joint displacements on the force/moment equilibrium equations). However, what many programs do not consider are the other very...

    Strudl/STAAD Translator/Converter

Call the CASE Center at 404-8942260 and ask for information on the STAAD to GTSTRUDL conversion tools.

    Composite Deck design

What??? This is incorrect. Design procedures that make assumptions of "effective" slab width for simplified analysis and design of composite behavior are NOT procedures for calculating loads on a structure. Not surprisingly, STAAD is wrong.......again.

STAAD Pro 2001 and Guyed Structure Design

meca: No, not in production, but yes to compare its solutions with other programs. Results? Solutions often different than those produced by very high quality structural software.

STAAD Pro 2001 and Guyed Structure Design

Your are correct. STAAD continues to assume that cable stifness is constant and does not change with cable deformations nor cable stress.
