I'm sorry, I have installed ghostscript, not ghostview. Anyway, after adding specific folders to system PATH then I could convert existing .ps files to .pdf. Great!!!
Finally please can you let me know how to setup i-deas output to .ps files? I had gone thru I-Deas...

Generally I follow below procedure for modal analysis with some loads.
1.Apply the load/lumped mass.
2.Select Normal mode dynamics(very first icon) for the analysis type.
3.Select loadset and restrain set for boundary condition set creation. select Lanczos method in the BC creation form.

You can do analysis of a model with various materials with one FEA. You can achieve this by creating various FESTUDY s for each material. Have a look at the Manage FEA icon.

Your doubt is correct. you need to delete the results from Post processing task before you modify the properties of the material. You cannot modify material properties with solved FEAs.

generally this happens when multiple keys are operated at some instants. Try to do the same operation carefully, i think the problem problem may not be consistant. Instead of using Mouse, use key board "Enter" for selection of "OK".
