Hi,
you can mesh after the glue operation. then you can go to mesh attributes and define the material no according to your definition. Also u can define 2 different element type to mesh your area if that is the case.

hi all,
I am doing a contact analysis between a cylinder and a strip (3D). when i open the contact wizard it ask me to select target so i select strip but then it wont allow me to go to next step (next buttom does not highlights). I am selecting body (volume) in the target list and flexible...
Dear all,
i am trying to simulate a tensile test. since in the real senario the material is anisotropic and in ansys i m modelling as isotropic (since i dont know all the matrix for anisotrory for my material). I am not able to get necking becoz of the isotropic property. Is there any other...
hi,
i want to force some imperfection in my geometry. actually i have tested one material and that is not isotropic but i am modelling in ansys as isotropic. I came to know that to force anisotropic condition in the material we can change the geometry. is that true? if there is other ways to...
hi,
geometry is simple its a cuboide of dimension 12*12*5 (l*b*h)all in mm. i have 4 strips of these kind so what i did in ansys i made 4 areas (its a 2D analysis) and glued them through boolean operator. i did not apply contact element. for the boundary conditions i fixed DOF of the bottom...
hi,
i am doing the compression analysis in ansys. i ahve a gradient structure along the thickness direction. I have 4 strips of 12*12*5 (l*b*h) each. now i placed these 4 strips on top of each other (modulus is different in all strips). so now wat shd be my BC. also how to apply pressure...
