Sampling issue, or something else? Simulation does not match graph ode

Which exact solver do you use in Simulink and which in Matlab? Maybe you are usisng a varibale step solver in Simulink

    VFD Blowing IGBTs

If you have 1800A motor current I guess you are using 2 or 3 cables in parallel per motor phase. If you swapped cables after reconnecting you could have shorted out two phases.

    VFD Blowing IGBTs

At least you should measure if you're 3 Motor Currents a symetric and if the current you see on your display has something to do with the current you measure. Still wondering where all the current should come from if running in frequency mode and having no load on the motor. Or do you run the...

Paralleling VFD outputs to one motor

For example KEB has Master-Slave units, but the only reason is, they do not have bigger converters and to supply converter at higher power range they are coupling them together

Torque Tolerance of a FOC VFD

Thanks for the replies, but the developer does not have really an answer at the question, because that's the difference about theoretical calculation and reality. And there is not much experience with that large drives. I talked to another developer and he had measured a Danfoss VFD. He...

Torque Tolerance of a FOC VFD

    come on, any comments please!

Torque Tolerance of a FOC VFD

Hello, we try to optimize the parameter set of a 2.2 MW Drive with field oriented control. We try to get the best result between reference torque of the control and actual torque measured at the motor shaft. We have tolerances depending of motor speed and amplitude of the torque of around +/-...

Need Help with Plotting multiple lines

Just type the color after your pair of values plot(t,T1,'gr',t,T2,'bl',t,T3,'r',t,T4,'ye',t,T5,'cy'); and so on. but look in the help for plot there should be everthing explained. Regards Phaneas

DC Bus Overvoltage on 20hp VFD

A load drop can also cause a short voltage peak. Do you have no brake resistors at the drive?

    DC Link Capacitance

Hello, I also found this one here: http://www.postech.ac.kr/ee/cmd/publications/A%20Theoretical%20minimum%20DC-link%20capacitance%20in%20PWM%20converter-inverter%20systems.pdf What Voltage ripple in % is normally used for the calculations?

    DC Link Capacitance

Hello, I have to calculate the necessary dc link capacitance for a VFD. Does anybody know a good book or other documents how this is calculated. Couldn't find too much in the net. Thanks in advance.

    Texas Instruments ads7869

Hi, I found the cause, the read and address bit were set at the same time and caused a phenomenon called "metastable state of D-Flip-Flop" which let the whole chip oscillate and let it do unexpected things

    Luckup table problem

I think it is the 2 in row 11 cause this is not monotonically increasing. Your other question i didn't really understand what you mean.

    VFD causing High current

Is the DC Link Bus 600V_DC? Cause in this case the max motor voltage you can run is 600V_DC/sqrt(2) = 425V_AC And if the motor voltage is too low the VFD will try to compensate that missing voltage with a higher current
