Can anyone tell me how to quickly reverse the orientation of a width mate please.
I seem to remember once doing this accidentally by double clicking "something", but for the life of me I cannot find a way to repeat it now.

I have just finished both the user and the administrator training for the Keytech software, it certainly is very powerfull indeed.
Our company will be 'going live' with the system in three weeks time, so I will report back after we have seen how it performs.

Our company is looking at the possibility of buying the Keytech Solutions software as a replacement for PDM Works.
Keytech are Solidworks Gold Partners and it does look to be a nice piece of software.
The idea is so that it will integrate with our BAAN ERP system as well, and save us some time...

I would never have found that.
It worked a treat once I realised that I had to log in as admin and delete the original assembly from the vault.
Prior to that I got Vault Error 102 on check in

My system is pretty much identical to yours and has been no problem at all, I would be looking for some software settings to alter first, your hardware is OK.

I have come up against an issue that I cannot find a solution for.
If I create a solid part which is a flat plate with some holes in it and then create a drawing from it, all is well.
Now someone comes along and asks for some hexagon nuts to be welded over the holes, no problem I make assembly...

I have just been to the hands on launch seminar of SW2007, I was very impressed by some of the new features.
Weldment profiles were mentioned briefly. and at the time it was stated that there were loads of new ones that could be downloaded from the website.
Has anyone managed to find them...
The one that I notice dissapearing the most is the 'Display/Selection' - 'Dynamic Highlight From Graphics View' took a while to figure out what had happened, it seems pretty random as well.

Our company will be updating from SW-2006 to 2007 when it is released later this year, I have tried to make our IT department aware of the fact that our three year old P3 computers are probably not really up to the job anymore.

Does anyone know if the next release (2007), of PDM will have any way of previewing JPG images which are in the vault.
We are trying to store all our project specific data in one place, including SW files, Word documents, PDF files and photos etc.
Not much good if you cannot preview the photo's...
I think what you are wanting is the difference between taking ownership or not.
If you are not the owner the document opens read only, if you take ownership, you can modify and save it again.
I am pretty new at this myself, but the above seems to work for me.
