Really? V6 isn't out for the average Joe?? I've got Catia V6 for 32 bit and 64 bit... its been out for a while now...

Does anyone know if Catia V5 and V6 will run on Windows 7????

I had first installed Ideas on my Vista (32bit) laptop and I got a 'detection of loss communication....). I uninstalled it and re-installed. Now I go to run Ideas, I type in a new modelfile name and a new project and it just hangs.... nothing seems to happen. Anyone have any EASY fix to this...

Thanks for the 'Let me google that for you'. I tried Regcure also. The Windows installer error wasn't due to a registry error. I ended up going to Microsoft and downloading a new installer package. Everything works fine now. Thanks for all the responses and help as always!!! Thanks

I get an error 1722 Windows Installer failed. Has anyone else had this issue??? I'm stumped.... Any help is greatly appreciated. I'm on Vista 32bit. Thanks,

Once you have everything joined within your geo-set (shown as a join, with create datum highlighted).. Copy your join (with out create datum highlighted) and paste special as result (RMB). Then copy that 'curve' (which will be everything) into a new geo-set and delete the first geo-set.

Are your curves in a Geo-set??? Can't you select the everything in the geo set and join everything together, with 'create datum' on, that way the join has history, then do an axis to axis, seems like thats easier than trying to use the compass...

I think you can right mouse click on the compass and EDIT. Then you can key in coords and angles. Works nice for moving big assemblies.
