in NX6.0.3.6 this error is returned in the mfg module. can anyone define this better and give a solution to "break" the undesired "link" it's referencing?

what i am seeing in one common instance is that all toolpaths are going "out of date" when a component of an assembly is modified and saved by Save All (the entire assembly). Toolpaths of other components within that assembly are nulled out as well, even though they were not changed, just...
If the toolpath is locked, how is it that it becomes "nulled" (un-generated)? I see that Approve will allow it to post as a work around, but i still ask why? how can i find out what is causing my toolpaths to null out when i open my saved and generated projects? BTW, teamcenter is used...
Thanks John for the suggestion... but the tool axis is actually Z+ direction and i don't think my post will allow the X axis as you suggest. I have a work around in place but it is several more clicks and evaluating the toolpath source (toolpath list) to get tangencies so that a straight move...
i have found that the system doesn't like a horizontal clearance plane, although i'm unsure if this is so or if i'm not applying the clearance correctly. This worked fine in NX3 but intermittently in NX6 ( i've seen it work twice but cannot duplicate again and the paths that did work are now...

I have found that if i keep hitting enter i finally get to the "old nx3" dialog. it's just a pain to get to. that's why i'd like it to default to "translate" (i mistyped in previous post and put transform... duh)
