No, we don't have a separate program for pre and post processing, I think Ansys comes with it's own program and as for nastran, we would use femap 8.2

If you want easy to use sofware, Algor has a nice product at a reasonable price. It is perfectly compatible with autodesk product and other modellers. (5-12K)
Cosmos/designstar is also interesting, but limited on non-linear analyses. It is also perfectly compatible with most modellers. (+/-...
Does anyone has actually seen the new ansys release?? It is supposed to be as easy as designspace to use, but with all the power of ansys professionel.I would like to have that confirm by someone who isn't an ansys dealer.

design can actually import sheet metal piece from autodesk inventor without any problem, but you have to be carefull, because designspace cannot deal with large deflexion, so if your part is pretty thin, the result you will et won't be valid. In order to get a good result, you must use ansys...
