Try an online gas monitor (Morgan Schaffer, GE, etc).
That will help you a lot, as you can get alarms based on trends. Usually, just following the H2 is enough to tell you when the fault develops.
AMS500 has been discontinued about 6 years ago.
They have introduced a new (much much better) version called Calisto.
