SNORGY,
I cant find the process and design engineer they are not connected to the company anymore..sad thing is they didn't consider the type of emulsion we are handling so it end up in fouling it is not Fit for Purpose. we dont face any problem in separation process still with in the specs...
Im just wondering since our pre heat echanger was bypass due to fouling. Why do we need pre heat exchanger before entering Heater Treater. Our emulsion is about 25 deg C inlet and exiting at 50 to 55 deg C.. Can somebody tell me on what purpose it is.
Guys I need some advice, as I posted here before about frequent fouling of our pre heat exchanger. base on my survey it turns out that adding strainer will be good enough. Im thinking of buying a bucket type strainers for upstream of Plate type heat exchanger. What are the possible problems I...
dcastro,
That was I wanted to do priding line heater using assciated gas or gas separated rather than burning it to flare. if you got some schematic I will highly appreciate it
Does any body here got a Online Heater powered by Natural Gas. I wanted to reduced flaring as well at operating cost for diesel.
Please if anyone got a small schematic drawings that can guide me will be much appreciated
I haven't got a gas composition yet but it seems to be good for this purpose since we are using it in Onshore facilities as a fire tube in heater treater. I just dont understand why they cant use it in offshore.
To all experts here I need an advice. this Idea comes in my mind after visiting out offshore field. At present we are burning a huge amount of gas to flare. Im thinking of ulitizing it for our online heater.. since we are using diesel power heater. I know it is posible but what factor I need to...
I have been asked to review ,defined and produce a documents for Safe Operating Presure of our facilities... Where do I need to start? and what are the things to consider..it is a Slug catcher, heater treater and water handling unit..
Incoming trunk line is 10 Bar normal Operating Pressure
with due respect to the requirements as per your define production handling. I think that is fair enough unless you're expecting a huge amount of sludge and scale issues.

I have done HAZOP already and its entirely different from single point of failure. in my understanding it is more critical than HAZOP that can cause immediate production lost or Plant Shutdown
