Hello.
I am working up a cost estimate and need to know the ± % cost difference between PE4710 versus PE3408/3608 HDPE Pipe assuming the OD and SDR are the same. Would someone here have this information handy???
Hello:
There is an ongoing debate in our office re: whether NFPA 22: Standard for Water Tanks for Private Fire Protection (2013) allows for the roof of a private firewater/service water storage tank roof to be a geodesic dome style cover constructed out of aluminum. I am being told that, per...
I am a chemical engineer looking for some guidance from a structural engineer. A project I'm currently working on involves hanging a 40' long S12x40.8 beam which will be used as the track for a 7½-ton trolley hoist. The beam will have to be installed in the existing building in two 20' sections...
I have a client who is proposing to use an existing approximately 100,000 gallon dielectric oil storage tank for storing filtered water. The stored filtered water will then be processed through a demineralizer system (strong acid cation followed by strong base anion followed by a mixed bed IX...
I would like to sincerely thank all of you for your very informative responses. A lot of good reading here re: background information on PLCs that I was totally unaware of and is not mentioned at all in my course materials.
Thanks for your help ... NOT!
If I had found the answer in the course materials or on the web I would not have posted the question on this forum. As it is I haven't found it here either.
I am currently taking a course in PLCs. Would someone please define the terms "fixed" and "modular" PLCs? What are the major differences between the two?
Thank you.

Can someone here please explain the difference(s)if any between an adjustable check valve (ACV) and a pressure safety relief valve (PSV)? Can one be substituted for the other? If not, then what would be some typical applications for an ACV that a PSV would not be suited for and vice versa?
