Things to consider to make a hot tap
-frabricate branch(weldolet and weld neck flange)according to the company's piping standards
-check the thickness of the header where the welolet is to be welded
-make sure there the product is flowing while the branch is being welded
-pressure test brach...
Why does the gas supplier recommends fiber gaskets? as an experienced oil refinery maintenance man I recommend to go with flex gaskets for this application,they are very reliable and maintenance friendly
