Thanks checker! The .438 diameter was an oops on my part and is a distance between axis. (likewise, the 2.496 was incorrect) The question came up via my checker here about the runout and the way I called it out. He seemed to think it should be detailed this way (see attachment):
He did not...
Attached is an image of my drawing of an eccentric shaft. I don't think what I have is correct. There are bearings on each of the datums that I have called out (except the keyway of course "G"). The keyway is strictly driving the shaft and its location is probably not critical, but I used it...
I am in the process of checking a print and am trying to find a suitable material for a project at work. The ring shaped piece is 2570mm (214 inches) in diameter and 100mm thick (8.33 inches). The ID is 2135mm (178 inch). There are some tapped holes on both sides, but the OD surface finish...
I have been using Unigraphics for 15 years, but have had very little training. I don't know what MenuScripts are. We have a supplier that uses NX. They have developed some customized menus and have supplied them to us. These customizations that they provided us are located in a Startup...
Thank you SDETERS and cowski. I looked at the link you sent and am overwhelmed with the thread, but I will keep looking at it. While Unigraphics has the capability to have custom menus and other custom features, I have been very disappointed in how difficult it is to make changes. I am no...
Under the Customize menu (with my icons loaded), I selected Roles, Create and saved one called mynewrole.mtx in the C:\Startup directory. I closed NX down and reopened. I also loaded the role that I just created, but the icons or toolbar did not show up.
I have some custom icons and functions that I would like to use in NX 7.5.4.4. I can get them to work, but each time I exit NX (File, Exit) and reopen a new session, I have to load them again. The toolbar files are located in C:\Startup. An example of the file paths in the toolbar file is...
Thanks dtharrett, I tried to upload the file again with no luck. Must be a file size thing.... I tried sending it zipped and unzipped, but it will not go through.
markrief, you are correct. I have attached a .bmp of the assembly that I could open with an eviewer. When I open up the same file in UG, all I get is the square tubing frame.
Bigguy, I was wondering the same thing about the sldasm extension. I tried changing it, but no dice.
Thanks dtharrett! I tried to upload the file, but it will not go through. Not a big deal. I appreciate your willingness to help.
Unfortunately, the zamzar site would not recognize the sldprt files.
sdeters,
They only sent me one file, but there would be multiple solid bodies if it translated correctly. Kinda odd that it did not have the .sldasm extension, but like I said, the assembly opened up in the free viewer. I looked into free solidworks and cannot find one unless I am a student...
