    On the economics of investigation, I live quite remotely, so a day worth of window sampling would probably cost me a few thousand. As a stopgap, I'm thinking of picking up a DCP hammer from a local contractor, hand auger and 3m of rods. Pretty limited, but better than nothing I guess.
