no thats not the case. I can drag the sketch slightly away from coincidence with the grid lines and the sketch lines show up. It only happens when I snap to a grid box and go either horizontal or vetical. the sketch line gets hidden behind the grid lines. As soon as I drag away they appear and...
I dont really know but it sounds like it is not something that I am doing wrong but a hardware problem or maybe a graphics card problem if I understand the direction of your questioning. I will look into that possibility.
