An aging Design Engineer (mechanical) has found info on this subject very hard to come by on the net or in the land of Aus.
With the initial charge of Aqua-Ammonia being at 30 % NH3, we would assume that the ammonia lost from the fliud contained in the perculator return line, would intensfy...
I have recently aquired the data logger as above without any instruction manual. I would appreciate any info on how to set up this unit for multi channel temperature recording with K-type thermocouples. What is "OPE"?
I am building an aqua-ammonia single pressure absorption refrigerator and am having trouble getting it going.
Design Data:- Aqua-ammonia solution:- 33ammonia
Working pressure 400 psi
At generator temperatures up to 165 deg C
Generator inlet tube:- 34 Deg C...
As water is heated it will gradually start to produce steam. I need some info on the amount of steam produced at temperatures aproaching the boiling point.
In heating a 30% aqua-ammonia solution from ambient to 200 deg C @400psi, would the RATE of ammonai gas production ( Vol/time) be constant, or would it vary as the temperature rises ???.
Thank you for your reply,
What effect would the ammonia have on the temperature rise of the solution?. Would the solution temperature still rise to the vaporising temp of the water, but just slower?.
Perhaps a very basic question but can you tell me if when heating an aqua-ammonia (33%NH4)solution @400psi, the temperature of such would be held at the Vaporisation temperature of the ammonia, untill all the ammonia was vaporised. Then the temperature of the water could rise ????
