    PDMWorks Enterprise

Does anyone use PDMWorks Enterprise? And if so, how do you like it? Please note PDMWorks Enterprise is different than the PDMWorks that normally comes with SolidWorks. PDMWorks Enterprise is a software SolidWorks bought from a company named Coniso...

    SW World - Who's going?

I've made more commitments than I have time for already but I'll stop by at the time specified if I have a chance. I'll see some of you in the CSWP test.

    SW World - Who's going?

So is it safe to assume it is more than just a dinner?

    SW World - Who's going?

I have not heard but will be taking the test as well.

Drag and Drop picture files in drawings?

Yeah.. Thanks! Brian - What SW version and SP are you using? I am on SW2005 SP4.0. We will load SP5.0 next week. I'll let you know if that fixes it.

    SW World - Who's going?

I'm going to SWW this year. I'm not sure what to expect but somehow convinced management that it will be worthwhile. What should I expect?

Drag and Drop picture files in drawings?

Both computers are set to open the jpg file to the windows picture and fax viewer. The Gateway works and the Dell does not.

SW parts list extraction to Word or Excel?

I created a macro that can do this. The API macro is customed for how we name our parts and how we use the SolidWorks program so it would not be much use to you. But this can be done with the use of a macro if you know how.

Drag and Drop picture files in drawings?

One more discover about this. If I insert a picture to a drawing from the Gateway computer and save it - then open the drawing from the Dell computer, the picture opens fine. I just can't insert the picture from the Dell computer. That seems odd.

Drag and Drop picture files in drawings?

Yep. I have followed all your suggestions and a few of my own with no success. Maybe the SW-SP5.0 accounts for the operating system SP1 to SP2 I'll find out next week. I called our tech support and they have seen this before but had no immediate solution. They would like me to update of...

Drag and Drop picture files in drawings?

Did this issue ever get answered. We are experiencing the identical problem and have tried everything suggested above. My gut feeling is this is not a SW issue but rather an operating system issue for the most part. We have 3 older Gateways and 5 new Dells. The pictures insert fine on the...

    PCI Express Graphics Card

As far as I know it is PCI Express x16. I'm assuming at this point that it must have an additional name (eg. Nvidia Quadro FX 540) but I don't know what that might be as they have left for the day. They said it would be here tomorrow so I'll find out then. I'll respond back with what it is...

    PCI Express Graphics Card

Anyone have any experience with PCI Express cards??? I didn't see it listed on the SolidWorks website. Our IS department ordered a PCI Express x16 card for our newest computer and I would like the warm fuzzy that it will work for large assemblies.

Just got hired for a drafting job using SW

What company will you be working for? I'm just curious if I know of them since I also design in the aircraft world.

    Need Help with Macros

I knew nothing about API like you a couple years ago and was curious to learn about it. I took the VB API Class offered by SolidWorks to learn at least something about it. The rest I learned on my own using online info, the SolidWorks API help files, and any VB API code example I could find...
