If it's an imported surface edit def the import geometry then go to edit delete and pick the surface you want deleted

    Surface Cut/Trim

You could also create a neutral file that way you can keep all your datum planes and it will be one entity.

    Layer inconvenience

The layers in Wildfire 2.0 su** period. Ever since they incorporated the search tool in the layers it made it completely useless. I had a handle on it in Wildfire 1.0 but then it changed again in Wildfire 2.0, now I just don't bother.

    mold cavities

Are you using Mold Volumes, if you are try using only one parting surface or other mold volumes. Pro/Mold has trouble splitting a mold volume when you use more than one mold volume Clear as Mud 8^) or Is the surface for the point cloud data a nurb surface or a poly mesh surface...

    Start Part & Assembly

I would go back to the original mapkey and edit the path of the mapkey to read what the new path is, see if you could get away with it.

Leap from 2001 to Wildfire 2.0

brakemeister, I would recommend using the Wildfire Getting Started with Wildfire tutorials on PTC's website. It's very basic but it helped me out alot, I've been on WF 2.0 for alittle over a year and I will not go back to 2001. It was very frustrating in the beginning but it's great once you...

    New to Wildfire (Help!)

I don't know your situation, but I would suggest going from Proe 2001 to Wildfire 2.0 instead of 1.0. If I had to go back to 1.0 from 2.0 I probably quit 8^) If you going to make the commitment of the different interfaces from 2001 to Wildfire I would go with the latest build. I've been on...

    Small BlocK Chevy

I'm really sorry Chris but i could get in trouble. I had my hands on parts from GM from Saturn motor to Northstar to the Corvette but couldn't take them with me. They were converted from UG to parasolid, these were complete motors with everything on them. I got them through SEMA so if your a...

    Small BlocK Chevy

Your right Scott, I created my own smbc 350 in Pro/Engineer for a project I was working on making it a stroker motor. I took every component from the block to heads, hi rise intake etc. and painstakingly measured everything by hand with calipers and angle gauges. In all it took me about 200+...

    CAVITY FILLING

In Mold Design you could create an item called Molding. It will create a Pro/E part from the cavity tool geometry.

view represent simplify in Pro/E wildfire?

What Joe is saying is instead of doing View Represent do a Snapshot of the view, that will turn it into a 2D unassociated view, from there you can delete the holes you do not want cut and then translate the rest to the 0.0 lower left corner. HTH Brian
