    @asixth - which code do you use? If I have to provide ties, are these ties similar to column ties or maybe less stringent? In my case it would be unpractical to specify column ties ! Thanks guys.

    Hi, I am designing an RC wall with reinforcement layer near each face, do I need to provide crossties through the thickness of the wall? I have read the ACI318-11 14.3.6 limit for 1% of the vertical reinforcement, is there a similar limit in AASHTO or other overseas codes like the ? Thanks.
