to find a suitable emulsifier for paraffin wax you can apply the HLB (hydrophilic-lipophilic balance) concept. I would look for an emulsifier with a HLB value near 8.

if your column is not too big you may consider ceramic, porcelain or glass packing. All are available as random packing, ceramic and glass as structured packing too. Efficiency may not be terribly high, but you will solve your biggest problem, and that is corrosion.
