    What happens if the clamping force is greater than the yield stress? I just want a tight connection., will that lead to loosening over time?

    Yes it is subject to vibration - seismic and shipping. Can I assume that any bolt, no matter how big will loosen over time due to vibration? And I will make sure to check for the clamping force/yield stress of the material. Thank you
