    Anyone weld racks together for extended rack and pinion set?

    I need a long rack several feet long. Possibly 40 feet, maybe longer. What's the longest rack that can be manufactured? Can shorter racks be joined together by welding? Would that throw off the mating of the pinion gear at the weld joints? Any other methods?

    Hi, Are there any manufactures that produce Single Row Deep Groove Ball bearings that are rated for IP68? I am looking for a bearing size of: 28mm ID, 52mm OD, 12mm Width. For NSK, this is 60/28, but I don't believe they are rated for IP68. Thanks!
