    Knockout Tank

What is a knockout tank? does it condense the gas to become a liquid, or does the gas just past through and get the saturated liquid knocked out of it?

    two compressors in series

Is it possible to compress already compressed air. I'm looking at an operation for compressing air from 1 to 5 atm, using an aftercooler, then compressing from 5 atm to 10 atm. two compressors in series, possible? thanks

    flammability limits

From a mining source, i have found the LEL and MOC (flammability limits) of vapors at 1 atm, however, my goal is to generate a curve, with LEL as a function of pressure. Does anybody know how LEL changes with pressure? Thanks!

LEL of Petroleum at higher pressures

From a mining source, i have found the LEL and MOC (flammability limits) of Petroleum at 1 atm, however, my goal is to generate a curve, with LEL as a function of pressure. Does anybody know how LEL changes with pressure? Thanks!

Pressure Drop in a Grooved pipe

Thanks, I should've been more specific. The pipe is corrugated copper (little ridges on the surface).

Pressure Drop in a Grooved pipe

The airflow inlet into a 1" grooved copper pipe is 270 cubic feet per minute. The pressure is 105 psi, at an inlet temperature of 30 F. The copper tube is 1 ft long and is twisted. How do you calculate pressure drop through twisted tubes?
