    Surcharge from friction pile on to retaining wall

    thread256-471442 The surcharge onto the retaining wall is from the end bearing capacity of the pile solely? Surely the load friction capacity of the pile does not create a surcharge onto the retaining wall? It may be considered a vertical friction load with no dispersal?
