Folks,
Anyone working with NX 9 (and possibly 11) have seen an error like what I have attached this post? Long story short: Attempting to port design work from Revit to NX via a STEP Translator from TransMagic. While I am able to look at the STEP in TransMagic, I get nothing but a...
Given the historical aspect of some of these elements, or the fact they are not under "direct control" of the client per se, that is something I can live with.
John, for future reference - here is a solution that was relayed to me via another channel (who apparently asked this question to GTAC already):
Variable to add to or edit in UGII Environment Variables: UGII_MAX_FIT_BOX_SIZE
Increase the Variable to be able to pick what you need in your...
Now a quick follow up about migrated data from IDEAS via CMM - where an item is over 500 Meters in size (like a tunnel) - does there need to be a manipulation to the defaults in NX to make said item "pickable" in an assembly or drawing of either the object or the assembly it is located in?
This is a question that is bubbling up pretty fast on a project that I am working on, and a definite answer is needed:
NX .prt files have a "1 Km Limit" which for all practical purposes equals to a 500 meter limit on the Positive X, Y, and Z Axis. Is that limit only for designing physical...
John, thanks for the follow up. As always, the task of modeling up decades designs can take some very odd turns.
PrintScaffold... if I admin rights, that would be an option.
Quick question to those that may know, any reason why the Inch UN sizes available in NX9 are truncated? Have a drawing of early 80s vintage that calls for a 15/16-16 UN-2B threaded hole. Or am I going to plunk down some cash for the ANSI/ASME B1.1...
Wha...? {double facepalm} [morning]
... thanks Cowski - user now is able to do what he needs to do, with the caveat that all new arrays will have to be done with Pattern Feature.
Still not a happy camper about switchover, could of at least left a note in Command Finder to the effect of...
Thanks cowski, long story short - have a rectangular array created in NX 7.5. Part migrated to NX 9 (Current Version NX 9.0.2.5), and need to edit the array to tweek some numbers. Problem, when attempting to double click or right click on the array - no menus appear. Side Note: Once we found...
Let me try that again Cowski... Unable to edit - double or right click. On a chance, attempted to use Pattern Feature to see if it could handle the legacy features, as talked about in the other thread with John Baker - but as you can see from the attached screenshot, the computer is saying...
{grown} Would someone please confirm what John Baker said in the following thread:
http://www.eng-tips.com/viewthread.cfm?qid=353228 NX9 - instance geometry
So... if I have a part file that has a rectangular array or circular array created by Instance Feature in a previous version of NX (say...
Okay... this thread may turn into a rant, given what I have seen at the SiemensNX Website: http://www.siemensnx.com/347/nx5-hole-i-can-not-find-the-command?show=347#q347
So... for those folks that need to work with older part files, the only option is hunt down stray information on the...
Have a series of parts that are years, if not decades, old that were created with older "legacy" commands like Pre NX5 Hole, Rectangular Array, and so on. Was out sick for a couple of weeks and now it appears I cannot find the functions with command finder, let alone make edits, in NX 9.0...
