Can't see my objects.

I'm still working on finding the *.dwg(block) you're talking about but I wanted to ask you how to restore toolbars to their normal state. In other words I put a bunch of toolbars on my drawing thinking I'd be able to experiment with them to see if they'd save me any steps. Then I realized they...

    Can't see my objects.

I just opened up a new page and drew some objects and for some reason I can't see them...any of them! if I go to my other pages they work just fine but not this new one. It's weird. If I select the area they're in I can see the handles(you know, the blue grabbers) but when I click back on the...

Specify dimension origin point on 3d solid corners in AC 2004

This is a great forum. You are all great men. Thank you for helping me. I appreciate every one of you. Mark

Specify dimension origin point on 3d solid corners in AC 2004

smcadman, after I pick face it asks Enter an option (next/xflip/ yflip) <accept>. What do these mean. I just want all my dimensions to touch or get as close as possible to the object I'm dimensioning.

dimensioning solids (e.g. spheres) in ACAD 2004

I'm trying to make a radius dimension of a sphere

dimensioning solids (e.g. spheres) in ACAD 2004

I'm designing a new invention in ACAD 2004 and I'm trying to add a dimension on a sphere. How do I do that? Thank you in advance. Mark

Keeping drawings together in 3D Space

Binary, I'm a little confused on what you said. Everytime I copy and paste to an area that looks like it's only a few millimeters away from the main object it isn't. When I go into 3d orbit the 2 objects looks MILES! apart. I've been reading and playing around with the UCS toolbar and can't seem...

I need to find a free dxf or dwg download site for 2004

Dear IFRs I went to Reidtool.com and downloaded a bunch of 3D drawing but I can't open them. I get a "severe error" message whenever I try. Do you know what's wrong? They have a "sldprt" extension which I've never seen. E.G. One drawing is called JF-35.sldprt. ??? Mark

Unable to extrude the selected object.

thank you Scott and TheTick. I'm actually fairly experienced in AutoCAD 97 LT but I've been away from it for quite a while and now I'm upgrading and designing a new invention. All the best, Mark

Specify dimension origin point on 3d solid corners in AC 2004

How do I set my UCS to match the plane of the object I want to dimension and set the origin so my entities are at Z=0?

Specify dimension origin point on 3d solid corners in AC 2004

Could anyone tell me how to keep the extension lines and arrows on the exact corners of 3d solids? e.g. I'll draw a 3d box and dimension it and the dimensions in front view will look fine but when I go to orbit they're way off. I've been checking "Mastering AutoCad 2004" and can't find...

Keeping drawings together in 3D Space

Also, When I dimension an object, most of the time the dimension is somewhere way out in space. Thank you, Mark

Unable to extrude the selected object.

"Sketch Section"? What's that? How do I add a merge contraint (another thing I never heard of...surprise surprise). TheTick...now I'm reading your message a little farther down...it says use "convert entities". How do I do that too. Man, I don't know much do I? Thanks for...

Keeping drawings together in 3D Space

Hi, How's it going. I was wondering...is there a way to keep drawings together in 3d space. For example...I'll cut and paste something in a new drawing. Then I'll zoom back a little to allow a little room to put a new drawing I create. Then when I got to Left View (or right)the thing I just drew...
