I will not say as esay as "potable"...
in all the alimentary industry, all the process equipment is washed carefully to reduce as much as possible the risk of contaminatios the product (it dosn't matter what you are produccing).
in the milk industry, water should not have any kind of...
the problem with NBS is the price and also that it consist of a radioactive neutron source....
we are working on a coker revamp and we are using the two possible technologies for level measurement, that are NBS and continuous gamma level.

Hello everybody:
I am trying to compare Aspen Plus amines results against TSWEET and I have just found a "point"
in high pressure applications, if the total pressure is higher than the CO2 critical pressure, Aspen starts asking for the supercritical properties of CO2 with all the other...
Hello, we are trying to make some analysis with fluent about how heat would flow from a tracer to the line, when the tracer is not in touch with the pipe.
We are trying to do it on Fluent, creating the geometry with Gambit, but up to now, tne soft is winning....
Can somebody give a tip or an...
Just a short question:
does anybody knows if there is any equivalent oil to the Quintolubric 888-68.
Is the Quintolubric 888-68 a very special oil, with some properties that there is no other oil that could replace it?
Is shell Tellus L equivalent?
The piping will be made of SS.
Thank you
mariano
Just a question:
I've read the two Kister distillation books: Distillation Operation and Distillation Design. Is there any other book like those, but more updated?
The methods maybe are the same, but the test data in different conditions and with different systems may be bigger.
thank you in...
Hello, somebody knows if there´s any way to make a McCabe Thiele plot in Aspen Plus? Or if there are any excel spreadsheet that linked to Aspen via macro can draw this kind of plot?
Thank in advance

Hi everybody:
We are starting to built a new Claus complex in a refinery in Argentina, and the sour gas flow meters are venturis made of stainless steel, I think they would be Daniel, because the available pressure is very very low.
For the clauss off gas, the basic engineer contractor put an...
Thank you everybody for the answers.
Another question, always about the same is about the block valves and the amine drain system (control valves are NACE 0103).
Should the valves be requested as NACE compliant, in the rich amine circuit, before Lean/rich heat exchanger? How about the drains...
gr2vessels:
first, thank for your fast answer.
the problem/point is (maybe I didn't write as good as I have to) that in the rich amine zone, the basic eng provider says that no "special conditions" are requiered for the piping, because they're using AISI 316, with 0 mm of CA!!!
the rest of the...
I'm not a material specialist, but in the office they give me a problem retaled with.
In a amine plant, using DIPA, the low temp/low pressure part of the plant is designed with ASTM A 516 Gr B, according to NACE 0103 (it's refinery), but in the high temperature part (after lean/rich exchanger)...
Has anybody any kind of criteria/rule of thumb to determine the low pressure steam consumption for jacketed pipes?
And for line tracing, is there any kind of criteria for vapor consumption??
Best regards
