Hi all regarding the title, it is a naphtha stabilizer column which separate LPG from hydrotreated naphtha with a bottom temp. of 176 deg C at the reboiler draw-out and 190 deg C at the reboiler return. the feed flow into this column is ranging from 24~35 ton/h * my question is why the reboiler...

thanks JJPellin for your comments yes we plan to send a sample to a third party lab. to specify the problem. you are right, theoe pictures were taken just as the piston was being extracted from the cylinder. in one of the photos and under the feet of the persons you can see the rubber rings...

hi all i want to know why 1. Atm. distillation columns have constant diameter from top to bottom while lighter cuts (e.g diesel ,naptha..etc have variable diameter from bottom to top? 2. why some absorbers are wide at top and narrow in the bottom?

thanks JJPellin for this rich response. we are in a very hot country and this case happed at midnoon. we have local hand-off-auto swith near the aux pump which was in auto mode, is it the same as the auto-start switch that can be set up as latching or not latching or you mean something else...
