    thanks for the plug, unclesyd !! namsco, wear plate performance is significantly affected by degree of impact versus abrasion, size and type of material, any chemical complications etc. If primarily abrasion, the chrome carbide overlay is worth looking at. mac

    Try making the flights from chrome carbide overlay plate. If its dry, you could also try rubber ~or if wet , urethane. For the hanger bearings, perhaps surround with a box, and blow a small amount of air into the box. Where are you located ?
