Hay guy's, what do you think,
I saw a generator that produces 20amps at 110volts. It takes a 5hp. Gas engine running at 3600rpm to produce this amperage.
Now I see for sale a 5hp. Electric motor (no capacitors) that runs at 3600rpm. Using 18.5amps. to start, and 15amps. to run.
Shouldn't the...
Hay Guy's, lighten up.
Here's the gist of it. Outside rusty gate hinge. I oiled it with 3in1 OIL and 2 days later it was squeaking again! Problem was? Oil and Water do not mix. The hinge had moisture inside under the rust, this did not allow the 3in1oil in.
I hit it with WD40 which displaced...
I would like to know, what the [b]thickness[b] of the webs (vertical Part) of [b]4[b] I beams would have to be to support 200,000lbs. (near center-50ft. foot print) if the span is 150ft. long and the web is 30in. high with 10in. sole plates.
thank you.
Not to familiar with specs, but I would try Dump truck Manufacturers they use them to dump 20foot long trailers. Also garbage trucks use large telescoping cylinders.
I have had some experience with bearings in the past. There are many different types of bearings. (IE-ball, taper, single, double, needle, shielded, clutch, lock, slip,) to name a few. They come in different sizes, Length, inside and outside diameters, as well as materials. All manufactures...

I know of some oil free compressors/vacuum that use graphite vanes in a rotary hub. They are self-lubricating because of the graphite. These are on the small side, fractional horse power.Try this comp. www.gastmfg.com
Thanks again for the info guys. Yes it is a High Speed Train with a different type of guidance mechanism. So it can run on non tapered wheels. Duel bearings in each wheel is the way to go then. Butelja-thanks for the Timken site. Hush rubber tires on independent axles would probable fly...
I need to know which would be better in handling heavy loads at high speeds, a live axle or free turning wheels? I'm looking at 20 axles 2 inches in diameter. Forty steel wheels, 24-28 inches in diameter and 2 inches wide, and being somewhat aerodynamically shaped and a traveling speed of...
